AN_SY68920 3 to 6 Series Cell Battery Monitor, Balance, Protection For Li-ion and Phosphate Application Preliminary Specification General Description Features The SY68920 is the analog front-end (AFE) device for 3-6 series cell battery. The device consists of battery monitor (cell voltage, pack current, pack temperature), cell balance and pack low-side protection, which can cover OCD, SCD, OV, UV, and detection of an external secondary protector fault. The SY68920 can support both internal and external cell balance strategy. Sub-blocks can be enabled or disabled to control the whole current consumption. When the device is not activated, it offers an extremely low consumption in SHIP mode. Host can access all the information of battery pack by I2C interface for management purpose.
